1. Star (Y-Y) Grounded Connection
Exclusive to power systems with ungrounded neutral points or those grounded via arc suppression coils, this connection mandates the primary winding’s neutral terminal to be directly grounded. Its core procurement value lies in enabling precise phase-to-ground voltage measurement, a non-negotiable requirement for insulation condition monitoring in such system architectures.
2. V-V Incomplete Delta Connection
Constructed using two single-phase PTs, this scheme interfaces with the UAB and UBC line voltages of the power grid to form an incomplete delta structure. A go-to option for procurement in 20kV and below ungrounded/arc suppression coil-grounded networks, it excels at inter-phase voltage detection.
